I usually use phenergan but for some reason I was prescribed compazine this time. I think I've built up an immunity to phenergan over the years; it doesn't make me sleepy and it usually takes two to take care of the nausea. My neuro started me on Topomax or as I call it Stupimax because it makes me appear drunk with slurred speech and stumbling around like an idiot but it's supposed to help reduce the number of migraines I get...

I've had migraines since I was fifteen but Oct/Nov 2007 the headaches took a drastic turn for the worse. I was diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines which is like having a mini stroke whenever I get a bad migraine now. The nausea is unbearable sometimes. I'm down three or four times a week nowadays so I kinda live on the stuff. I've been through a ton of pain meds as well. Find anything that works and at the rate I have to take 'em the docs begin to think I'm a junkie. I thought it was rebound headaches once but I left off everything for a couple of months and still was in agony. To quote Blackadder, "The path of my life is strewn with cowpats from the Devil's own satanic herd".
