Wrong to, no. Completely pointless unless you also change your diet and exercise routine, yes. I've seen people who get the surgery 3-4 times a year to avoid exercising. My ex got it and was back up to the exact same size she was before the surgery in 6 months.
I don't think I'd ever actually have liposuction--I just never feel energetic enough to exercise and I just love ice cream far too much for my own good. I used to work with a girl who had lipo and it really didn't make a significant difference. She got her boobs done too--all in all she spent over $6k and she still looked like a softball playing tomboy.
I don't see the point of it. It seems like a vicious cycle to me. Get fat. Surgery. Get fat again. More surgery. Rinse and repeat. At least if you diet and exercise it's still a cycle but it's more affordable. ;)
